Kasalang Bayan (Mass Wedding)2015 - STP News - Santa Teresita Parish

“God created all the animals and birds to be suitable companions for man. But none of them became a suitable companion to help him. So God formed a woman out of Adam’s ribs and brought her to him.  At last, Adam happily said, “Here is one of my kind, bone from my bone and flesh from my flesh.”  That is the reason why a man leaves his mother and father to live with his wife and they become one.” It was the first marriage.

Last October 24, 2015 at 9:30 in the morning, Sta. Teresita Parish held its yearly “Kasalang Bayan” (Mass Wedding) officiated by our beloved Parish Priest, Fr Richard J. Magararu, SMM. Five couples who were living together for a number of years walked down the aisle of the Parish Church. Several months prior to the ceremony, these couples went through the normal procedure of securing the necessary documents and the Pre-Cana Seminar. This program is intended for couples whose obstacle to sacramental marriage is finances. The qualified couples have nothing to worry about all the expenses including the reception. The collaboration of the Parish with the Barangay (local government) through Chairwoman Judith Baquiran Celos and her council made it possible for the couples to receive God’s blessing. A reception followed at the Barangay Covered Court where the couples and their guests were served a sumptuous lunch. A wedding portrait and gifts added to the joy of the just married couples. Everyone went home with a smile. Our gratitude extends to those who in one way or another made this program successful.
