STP Held Christmas Party

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. But, what is the real meaning of Christmas? Is it the gifts under the Christmas tree? Or having a family reunion enjoying a sumptuous meal? Well, that is not the main reason why we celebrate Christmas. The true meaning of Christmas is that, it is a grace filled moment when we are reminded of the faithfulness of God sending His Son to be one with us.

It is a time of healing, strengthening and renewing our lives. Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ which brought joy to the world.  It is for this reason that on the evening of December 12, 2014, the parish community of Sta. Teresita celebrated Christmas with the theme: “Halina Munting Sambayanan, sa Diwa ng Pasko ating Bigyang Buhay ang Habag at Awa’t Pagmamalasakitan.”  It was held at the West Rembo Covered Court.

The event was full of surprises. There were dances and songs presented by the different Zones while the different organizations sponsored the games which were participated by everyone.  The most exciting part was the raffle draws of the major prizes comprised of LED TV, Oven Toaster and Electric Fan donated by our generous parishioners. The awarding of the Lantern Making contest was also held towards the end of the program.

It was also the birthday of the Parochial Vicar, Rev. Father Angelo Pusikit, SMM. The Marriage Encounter Group serenaded Fr. Angel with his favorite love songs and Christmas Carols.  He was offered with a birthday cake with candles which he blew while people were singing the Happy Birthday.
The Christmas Party was filled with joy. The true spirit of the Christmas Season was indeed felt in this simple gathering of the parish community. This Christmas, we pray that God will continue to bless the parish so that mercy and compassion will reign in the hearts of everyone.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
